Goldens need plenty of daily exercise. Lack of exercise may lead to undesirable behavior.
Coat and Grooming
Goldens heavily shed their thick, water-repellant double coat once or twice a year. They also shed more moderately on a continuous basis.
Health
Goldens are generally healthy dogs. Some issues to watch for are hip and elbow dysplasia, eye disease, cardiac disease, and ear infections.
Nutrition and Feeding
A high-quality dog food appropriate for the dog’s age (puppy, adult, or senior) will have all the nutrients the breed needs.
