Puppy Adoption
Joining Our Family
Our puppies mean the world to us, and our goal is to find homes that will love and care for them as much as we do. We look forward to seeing our babies grow and thrive, so those who are selected to own one of our puppies must be willing to uphold their duty to share photos and informational updates of the puppy with us throughout its lifetime.
Remaining in contact is also very important for keeping better track of the health history of our dogs. Our GWN family has been a great source of information on health-related items, as well as general dog and puppy ownership topics. Our puppy owners should never feel shy or fearful to share anything with us when it comes to our puppies; our door is always open!
If you interested in joining our Great White North Goldens family, you are invited to submit a puppy application for consideration.

How To Adopt A Puppy
SUBMIT A PUPPY APPLICATION — A link to the first series of questions you will need to answer in order to be considered for adopting one of our puppies is provided above as well as on our home page. There are also links above for our health guarantee and our Puppy Adoption Agreement. These are subject to change, but are there to give you an idea of what they might look like. You will receive an updated, finalized copy of each of these documents once we determine one of our puppies will be a great fit in your home.
WAIT FOR APPROVAL — Please allow us some time to review your application. We will contact you if we feel one of our puppies would be a good fit in your home. Once you have been invited to adopt one of our puppies, a non-refundable deposit is required to hold your position on our waiting list.
CONFIRMATION — Once the puppies are born, we will determine if we have enough puppies available for those on our waiting list.
In the event there aren’t enough puppies whelped to fulfill the wishes of those who placed a deposit, those who did not get a puppy have two choices:
1. Leave your deposit in place to be on the waiting list of our next available litter.
2. Get a refund of your deposit and be removed from our waiting list.
WATCH THEM GROW — It may not seem like it to you, but the time from birth to 8 weeks flies by quickly! You are invited to follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram for updates, photos and videos of the puppies as they grow. At approximately 4 weeks we will begin allowing visits to our home to cuddle and play with the babies.
PUPPY SELECTION — When the puppies are approximately 7 weeks old they head to their first vet visit. Once they are deemed healthy by the vet, we will initiate the puppy selection process. See the section below titled “What To Expect On Draft Day” for additional information.
SCHEDULED PICK UP — We will not release our puppies until they are at least 8 weeks old. The balance of your puppy adoption fee is due on or before your puppy is released to you. We will have a schedule in place for pickup days and times.

No matter how long ago your baby was here, not staying in touch is our biggest fear. -- Excerpt from a writing titled "Please Don't Forget Your Breeder"
Included With Puppy Purchase
We do our best to give these puppies a great beginning to long, healthy life. While they are in our care and as they leave our home and head to yours, they will be equipped with the following items:
What To Expect On Draft Day
Puppy selection begins once the puppies have had their vet check and are deemed healthy. We will have a schedule in place and ready to go. Vet checks usually occur when the puppies are approximately 7 weeks old.
Selection commences and proceeds based on one’s placement on our waiting list. The person(s) listed first on our waiting list will begin the process by selecting the puppy of their choice. Once they have made their choice, the second person(s) on the waiting list will choose their puppy, and so on until all puppies have been selected.
While we realize that choosing one puppy out of a litter of cuties can be very difficult, we do our best to keep the selection process moving along. We’re happy to assist you, if you wish, but we can’t be held responsible when the mellow one starts chewing up your shoes or the party animal turns into a docile couch potato!
Once all puppies have been selected, we will make an announcement on our social media outlets.
Additional Notes
• As the breeder, we reserve the right to first pick, if we choose to keep one or more puppy from any given litter.
• We welcome puppy visits beginning when the puppies are about 4 weeks old. We will provide updates, photos, and videos via our social media outlets (Facebook and Instagram) prior to live visits. If you don’t use social media, we are happy to email or text photos to you.
• We reserve the right to cancel the sale of any puppy at any time for any reason. If we cancel the sale of a puppy to you, your deposit and any additional money paid will be refunded. If you choose to cancel the purchase of a puppy at any time for any reason, your deposit will not be refunded.
